During treatment, a nurse inserts an IV line which is attached to a bag of saline solution. Yes, there is a small poke with a small needle, but once the vein is accessed, the needle comes out and the plastic catheter is left in its place. The bag is hung above the patient's head, so that gravity can allow the fluid to drip and be carried into the veins over time. The duration of a single treatment varies from person to person, but typically lasts 45-60 minutes. How often you might be able to receive treatment depends on your health profile and needs. Generally if you are otherwise healthy and unless you have a special medical prescription for a higher frequency, we limit our customers to no more than 24 sessions yearly.
